ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Jeffrey S. Kravitz focuses his practice on business and intellectual property, entertainment and technology matters. His entertainment practice includes the representation of a wide variety of clients, including production companies, studios and individuals. Jeff has aided those clients with litigation needs, particularly in the areas of copyright infringement, invasion of privacy and sexual harassment. In addition, he has provided his entertainment clients with business counseling in all areas of intellectual property. Jeff is a Board of Advisors member and served as outside general counsel for six years to the National Sports Marketing Network. 


In his business and intellectual property litigation practice, Jeff has deep experience with matters such as copyrights, trademarks, unfair competition, media, libel and trade secret law.


Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Jeff was a partner in the intellectual property and entertainment practices at Silver & Freedman and at Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP in Los Angeles. He also served as Deputy Attorney General for the State of California.

 

As a member of the firm's Litigation Department, Ismael Bautista, Jr. handles matters in various areas, such as civil defense, general business litigation, insurance coverage, entertainment and intellectual property litigation, family law, labor and employment disputes, and trust and conservatorship proceedings.

 

Edward J. Hayes' practice involves commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on real estate.


He is also co-chair of the firm’s Title Insurance Defense Group and is recognized as one of the premier title insurance attorneys in Pennsylvania, handling disputes on behalf of title insurance companies and title insurance agents. Ed regularly lectures to title insurance groups on issues of importance to both insurers and title agents. He also speaks on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on real estate issues and ethics.


A former academic All American baseball player, Ed serves as co-chair of the firm's Sports & Entertainment Law Group, which provides full service representation to athletes, including:

  • Estate and tax planning
